The World Happiness Report is a landmark survey of the state of global happiness that ranks 156 countries by how happy their citizens perceive themselves to be. This year’s World Happiness Report focuses on happiness and the community: how happiness has evolved over the past dozen years, with a focus on the technologies, social norms, conflicts and government policies that have driven those changes.

While many countries around the world are looking to strengthen their institutions, policies and partnerships in these aspects of SDG financing, others have been developing innovative solutions.

The Integrated Financing Solutions report, which we are launching alongside the DFA guidebook, presents over 40 case studies of innovation in public and private financing for the SDGs.

This report examines the progress in the implementation of the Addis Ababa Action Agenda agreed at the Third International Conference on Financial for Development in Asia and the Pacific.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development “encourages member states to conduct regular and inclusive reviews of progress at the national and sub-national levels which are country-led and country-driven”. 

This handbook is targeted towards national statisticians to enable them to monitor progress made in implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals based on data produced by national statistical systems.

The relatively stable economic performance of Asia and the Pacific conceals increasing downside risks to regional progress in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In an era of uncertainty, bold and wise policies are needed to make growth inclusive and sustainable, i.e., “putting people and planet first.”

The Regional Road Map for Implementing the 2030 Agenda in Asia and the Pacific was developed by countries in Asia and the Pacific to facilitate cooperation at the regional level, supported by the ESCAP Secretariat and other United Nations entities.

Accelerating progress: An empowered, inclusive and equal Asia and the Pacific responds to the theme of the 6th Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development and the 2019 session of the high-level political forum on sustainable development.

The World Youth Report on “Youth and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, prepared by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), examines the mutually supportive roles of the new agenda and current youth development efforts.

In this publication, the GEF Small Grants Programme, implemented by UNDP, features women as environmental stewards in case studies about biodiversity conservation, climate change, land degradation, international waters and chemicals and waste management.

This report presents the results of a survey of 15 developing countries in Asia and the Pacific regarding Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 12, 14, and 15.
