Pressure for water resources is increasing, which has been met with unsustainable development strategies. Combined, these factors have negatively impacted the quality and availability of water resources. This report urges decision-makers in public and private sectors to manage water responsibly through inclusive governance structures, continued investment in water resource management, services and infrastructure, and reducing the unequal access to water and sanitation services.
