SDG India Index - Baseline Report 2018

The SDG India Index, 2018 offers critical insights into the status of SDG adoption and implementation in India. The Index tracks the progress of all states and union territories (sub-national entities) on a set of 62 priority indicators, measuring their progress on the outcomes of the SDG-related interventions and schemes of the government. The SDG India Index is intended to provide a holistic view on the social, economic, and environmental status of the country and its sub-national entities on their SDG status.

E-Handbook on Sustainable Development Goals Indicators

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development “encourages member states to conduct regular and inclusive reviews of progress at the national and sub-national levels which are country-led and country-driven”. 

This handbook is targeted towards national statisticians to enable them to monitor progress made in implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals based on data produced by national statistical systems.

Comparative analysis of 43 VNRs submitted to the HLPF 2017

The paper provides a comparative analysis of the Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) that were submitted to the High-level Political Forum in 2017. The purpose of the analysis is to identify major commonalities and differences in countries’ approaches to implementing and reviewing the 2030 Agenda. A special focus was put on three main themes: institutional mechanisms, participation of non-state actors, and statistics and data.

Voluntary National Reviews submitted to the 2018 High-level Political Forum – a Comparative Analysis

The paper provides a comparative analysis of the Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) that were submitted to the High-level Political Forum in 2018. The purpose of the analysis is to identify major commonalities and differences in countries’ approaches to implementing and reviewing the 2030 Agenda. In order to facilitate the identification of trends and tendencies over time, it compares observations to VNRs submitted in 2017 and 2017. A special focus was put on three main themes: institutional mechanisms, participation of non-state actors, and statistics and data.

Tracking Progress Together: Emerging Practices in National SDG Review

This magazine presents ten practical examples from ten different countries. Each article portrays one specific approach that the respective country has taken to resolve a particular challenge in the SDG review process. The cases address one or more of the following thematic areas: institutional coordination, stakeholder engagement, and addressing data challenges.

The study done by Wada Na Todo Abhiyan, GCAP, NACDAOR, World Vision, Centre For Equity Studies  Welt Hunger Hilfe and supported by European Union  brings out the facts and analysis about the exclusion and discrimination faced by some of the marginalised group in India like Dalits, Indigenous communities, Fisherfolk, Muslims, Children and Persons with Disabilities and explores the opportunities lying ahead in the framework of Agenda 2030 to address their issues so that they are not left behind.
