The Association for Supporting the SDGs for the UN (ASD) is an international non-governmental organization established in 2011, which also received a special consultative status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
ASD is committed to build networks on SDGs implementation among the government, the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and the leaders of major global corporations to promote the implementation of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Also, in order to encourage diverse stakeholders to join the SDGs effort, we annually publish the Sustainable Development Goal Business Index (SDGBI) and Guidelines for Reducing Plastic waste & Climate Change (GRP) of approximately 2000 major corporations to expand the participation of the SDGs. Moreover, ASD submitted written statements (adopted 10 times) on the various activities including the SDGs initiations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and global corporations. Also, the association actively participated in major committees such as the UN HLPF.
Moreover, ASD provides professional advice on sustainable management of 50 global enterprises and investment enterprises and promotes them to create concrete strategy for the SDGs, climate change adaption, plastic reduction and eco-friendly business. Additionally, we are also an international non-profit organization that produce an excellent SDGs model.
