Earth Observation for Sustainable Development (EO4SD)

States affected by fragility, conflict or violence face growing threats to state security, the economy, and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Major challenges such as a turbulent economy or surges of violence are causes of human insecurity altering people’s way of life. Satellite Earth Observation (EO) technology has major potential to inform and facilitate international development work in a globally consistent manner.

UNOSAT Mapping: supporting Humanitarian and Human Rights activities

With a 24/7 year round availability to process requests, a team of experience analysts ensure timely delivery of satellite imagery derived maps, reports and data ready for direct inclusion in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) according to needs, free of charge for UN agencies and humanitarian entities operating in line with UN policies.

MYWorld2030 Impact Stories

MY World is a global citizen survey to bring people’s voices into official debates about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Almost 10 million people from 194 countries voted in the  first MY World survey to help define the global goals. After the goals were adopted, the MY World 2030 survey was launched to make sure every person can have their say on SDG achievement. From now until 2030, we want as many people in as many countries as possible to be involved in MY World.  This is history in the making!

Profile of Paris

The Paris Agreement of 2015 is a remarkable example of collective leadership. No one individual, institution or country can claim to have singlehandedly created the Paris Agreement. Rather, over several years, thousands of individuals and organizations came together to contribute to the moment where 195 countries unanimously adopted the text.

This project is about telling those stories.
