Primer 2: Project Management and ICTD

This Primer provides fundamental concepts and tools utilized in project planning and management. There are two parts to this Primer. Part 1 discusses general concepts/tools in project management for development.  Part 2 looks into the use of ICTs in managing projects, and delves into tools and techniques for managing ICTD projects.

UN Women 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Gender Equality

The Gender Equality in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development training course aims to develop and strengthen awareness of gender equality and women’s empowerment issues within the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The principles of gender equality are integral to the goals, targets and indicators embedded across the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Social Norms, Social Change I

This is a course on social norms, the rules that glue societies together. It teaches how to diagnose social norms, and how to distinguish them from other social constructs, like customs or conventions. These distinctions are crucial for effective policy interventions aimed to create new, beneficial norms or eliminate harmful ones. The course teaches how to measure social norms and the expectations that support them, and how to decide whether they cause specific behaviors.

I Know Gender 1-2-3 Self-paced Course

This course aims to develop and/or strengthen awareness and understanding of gender equality and women’s empowerment as a first step towards behavioral change and the integration of a gender perspective into everyday work for all UN staff at headquarters, regional and country levels. It provides an introduction to the concepts, international framework, and methods for working toward gender equality and women’s empowerment.
