Trade Process Analysis Database (TPAD)

UNNExT Business Process Analysis (BPA) of Trade Procedures has proved to be an effective tool to provide detailed understanding of international trade transactions, and is regarded as the first step to be conducted before undertaking other trade facilitation measures. Over 50 import and export processes have been studied using BPA since 2009 by international organizations such as ESCAP, ECE, ADB, and their member states.

Asia-Pacific Research and Training Network on Trade

ARTNeT is an open regional network of research and academic institutions and think-tanks with a keen interest in addressing international trade and investment policy and facilitation issues in the context of sustainable development.

ARTNeT is an initiative of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific with support from several international donors and national development agencies

Earth Observation for Sustainable Development (EO4SD)

States affected by fragility, conflict or violence face growing threats to state security, the economy, and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Major challenges such as a turbulent economy or surges of violence are causes of human insecurity altering people’s way of life. Satellite Earth Observation (EO) technology has major potential to inform and facilitate international development work in a globally consistent manner.

CommonSensing: building climate resilience with small island nations

Small island nations are on the frontline of Climate Change’s devastating impacts. With most of their population living on low-laying land, they are specially vulnerable to the threat of rising sea levels, degrading their coastlines, their communities, and their livelihoods. Through the IPP CommonSensing, Fiji, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, are developing geospatial analysis capacity and are able to set new standards for requesting and reporting on climate funds.

KIDsforSDGs

KIDsforSDGs is a not-for-profit training academy for a community of SDG advocates across primary schools, secondary schools, and universities in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and mainland China. The founding team are part of businesses or organisations engaged with the World Economic Forum, UN Global Compact, the World Humanitarian Forum, and more. Through their UNITAR Youth Ambassador Asia Pacific Program, Young Changemaker Incubator program and others, they support youth to pursue tangible SDG actions and to develop their own SDG-oriented projects. 

UNOSAT

UNOSAT is the United Nations Satellite Centre, hosted at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). Created in 2001, it has become a knowledge centre within the UN system, promoting evidence-based decision making for peace, security and resilience using geo-spatial information technologies. UNOSAT’s mission is to provide Member States, UN agencies, non-governmental organizations and international organizations with coordinated geo-spatial analysis and develop capacities for geo-information technology towards achieving the SDGs.
