low carbon
The concept of Green Growth emerged in the Asia-Pacific region to turn resource constraints and the climate crisis into an economic opportunity that generates a double dividend (higher growth with lower environmental impact) by improving the efficiency of resource use and increasing investments in natural capital to drive economic growth. Realizing the promise of Green Growth will require a bold and ambitious transformation of the economic system. - Enroll
solid waste
In order to address the challenges of increasing waste in low- and middle-income countries in Asia and the Pacific, urgent action is needed from local and national governments, non-government organizations (NGOs), private sector, and communities. The course provides tools and knowledge on locally appropriate strategies and multi-stakeholder solutions for sustainable waste management using 3R principles in cities in developing countries, including establishing Integrated Resource Recovery Centers. - Enroll

The Policy Guidance Manual is an outcome of the joint ESCAP-UN-Habitat-AIT technical assistance project, which is promoting enabling policies on wastewater treatment and sanitation in South-East Asia, and has three main objectives. - Enroll
shifting-towards-water-resilient
Sustainable, livable cities are the way forward for the future of Asia-Pacific. The 2030 Agenda implementation urges to advance urban SDG with other SDGs, related to resilience of water infrastructure to climate change. Water (-Hazard) Resilient (Infrastructure for ) and Sustainable Cities are cities that achieve safe and adequate water supply and sanitation services based on sound water-related ecosystems, high level of water use efficiency, and a greater urban resilience to water-related disasters (here Water-Resilient Cities). - Enroll
